The short version
You can use the Five Dialects Profile without an account, without an email address, and without telling us your name. Your report appears on screen. If you want to keep it, we send you a private link — never the report itself.
What we store, and for how long
If you take the profile anonymously
- Your profile output — your dialect scores, the themes suggested, and the written report. Deleted automatically 30 days after you take it.
- Your individual answers — kept separately from the report above, with their own clock. Also deleted after 30 days.
We do not log your IP address against your answers, and there is no advertising or cross-site tracking anywhere on this site.
If you have an account
- Your profile output — kept while your account exists.
- Your individual answers — deleted after 12 months.
- Anything you write — daily entries, weekly check-ins, exposure logs. Deleted after two years, or whenever you delete them.
- Your account — email address, name if you gave one, which tier you are on.
Health data
What you write here is special-category data under UK GDPR — it says something about your mental health. We treat it that way: it is stored separately from your account details, it has its own deletion clock, it is never used for advertising, and it is never sold or shared for anyone else's purposes.
Your profile never travels by email. When you ask us to send it, the email contains a private link and nothing else. Anyone holding that link can open the report, so don't forward it.
Getting it back, or getting rid of it
In your account, under Your data: Download everything gives you one file with all of it, and Delete your account removes all of it. The deletion is immediate and there is no grace period on our side — download first if you might want your writing later.
Deleting your account here does not delete your sign-in account with Clerk, our authentication provider. You can delete that separately from your account settings.
Who else touches your data
- Clerk — sign-in. Holds your email address and password.
- MongoDB Atlas — the database everything above lives in.
- Resend — sends the transactional emails described above.
- Calendly — books live sessions, if you have them.
- Stripe — payments, once billing is switched on. We never see your card details.
- Plausible — page-view counts, if enabled. Cookieless, no personal data, and it never receives anything you write or any part of your profile.
We use an AI model from Anthropic for internal work only. It is never given your free text, and there is no chatbot on this site: nothing here takes what you write about your worries and answers it.
What this site is not
Done with OCD is psychoeducation — material for learning. It is not therapy, not diagnosis, and not treatment, and nothing here is a clinical record.
